AT THE GATES OF LOCHES
Welcome to Château de Chavigny - situated on a hilltop position just a short drive from the stunning town of Loches, our petit Château is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Touraine region and the famous Chateaux of the Loire.
In 2025 we are delighted to be able to offer our gite for rental, with rooms and studios bookable from May 2026.
A NEW VENTURE
Having purchased Chateau de Chavigny in the Spring of this year we are currently in the process of preparing the Chateau to welcome guests with bed and breakfast rooms as well as several apartments and gites.
Our gite the Maison de Gardien is available to book now.
LE MAISON DE GARDIEN
We are delighted to say our gite is now fully open and ready to welcome guests looking for a break away in the Loire Valley.
Situated in the grounds of the Château the Maison de Gardien can sleep up to 4 guests, and features two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen as well as a wood burner in the sitting room.

LOCHES & THE SUD TOURAINE
The town of Loches is only 9 mins drive from Chavigny. Explore the winding streets of the Cite Royale, visit the Chateau and Donjon, shop at the market and enjoy dining in one of the many restaurants.
Chedigny, the only village in France to be awarded the label ‘Jardin Remarquable’ is in the next commune. Nicknamed the Rose village thanks to the abundance of roses lining the pretty streets.
Montresor and its chateau, a Plus Beau village de France is also just a short drive.

The Loire Valley is famous for its Chateaux and their gardens. As well as Loches, some of the most celebrated can be easily reached from us including; Chateau de Chenonceau, Chateau d’Amboise, Chateau de Chaumont-sur-Loire, Chateau de Villandry.

Loches has its own train station and there is even a stop in our commune Chambourg-sur-Indre.
The closest major station is Tours where there is a TGV to Paris.
