THE PRESSOIR

The château’s former pressoir now serves as a welcoming space for guests. This impressive room retains its original stone press, along with ornate pillars and hand-carved tiles. Each morning the table is laid with a bountiful French breakfast, while in the evenings we serve a selection of local wines, beers & soft drinks.

From its hillside setting, Chavigny looks out across the valley, where the Indre River winds through the landscape. The château is surrounded by its own private park of mature trees and features a heated saltwater swimming pool.

LOCHES & THE SUD TOURAINE

The town of Loches is only 9 mins drive from Chavigny. Explore the winding streets of the Cité Royale, visit the Château and Donjon, shop at the market and enjoy dining in one of the many restaurants.

Chedigny, the only village in France to be awarded the label ‘Jardin Remarquable’ is in the next commune. Nicknamed the Rose Village thanks to the abundance of roses lining the pretty streets.

Montrésor and its château, one of the ‘Plus Beaux villages de France’ is also just a short drive.

The Loire Valley is famous for its Châteaux and their gardens. As well as Loches, some of the most celebrated can be easily reached from us including; Château de Chenonceau, Château d’Amboise, Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire and Château de Villandry.
